Who Sonta AI is for
Sonta AI fits teams whose selling already happens and carries repetitive work — follow-ups, scheduling, prep, post-call updates — and whose business has a shape a generic tool gets wrong. That is a description of the work, not of an industry.

Three conditions
Fit comes down to three things being true at once. None of them is about headcount, funding stage, or what you sell.
The selling already happens. Sonta is a system for the motion you already run, not a plan for one you intend to build. It configures against how your team actually works and it draws on your history — so if neither exists yet, there is nothing for an agent to run.
The work repeats. There is a load of touchpoints a person does worse than they should, because they are tired and it is the fourth one today. That is the load agents take. This holds even when the deals themselves are one of a kind: a bespoke engagement still has a follow-up, a schedule, and a prep, and those are what get handed over.
The business has a specific shape. Your work has objects in it that a generic CRM would flatten into a notes field — the things you actually track, with the relationships that actually matter. The agents are only as good as that model, which is why a system shaped to your business produces agents that do not sound generic.
A team of four with those three conditions gets more from Sonta than a team of forty without them.
Where this shows up
The pattern is common in B2B — anywhere a staffed team works a pipeline with real routine in it. A brokerage tracking listings and showings. A staffing firm tracking candidates, placements, and client histories. An advisory firm tracking pursuits, proposals, and retainer renewals. A dealer tracking inventory and leads. A distributor tracking accounts and reorders.
It is not limited to B2B. A consumer-facing operation can run its storefront on its own website while the team works the same records the site reads — the orders on the site and the orders your team handles are the same entries, not two systems reconciling overnight.
These are illustrations, not a list of approved industries. The three conditions above are the actual test. If your work fits them, the fact that nobody has packaged your industry yet is a question of how long setup takes, not whether it works.
Two ways people arrive
People convince themselves differently, and both routes are legitimate.
The curious buyer is not sold on a category. They convert when an agent runs and the work simply happens — a lead answered, a record updated from a transcript, a follow-up drafted in their own voice. For them the argument is a demo on their own data, and no page substitutes for it.
The conviction buyer has already decided the firm needs to operate AI-first. They do not need to be impressed by an agent; they want to know what happens in two years. They convert on architecture: that models are swappable, and that the context, the agents, and the processes belong to them rather than to a vendor.
If you are the first, ask for the demo on your data. If you are the second, the pages on how Sonta fits together and what it is made of will tell you more than a demo will.
Where to start
Nobody moves a whole motion in one go. Most teams hand over one thing first — inbound response, or scheduling, or post-call updates — and widen it once they trust what comes back. The system does not require an all-at-once migration to be worth the first step.
There is also a page on when Sonta AI is not a fit, for the honest version of the boundaries. It is a short read and worth doing before a demo rather than after.
Where to go next
If this describes your team, the page on how Sonta AI fits together lays out the model end to end — how a business, its collections, and its agents relate. If you would rather see it working, creating your first business takes about ten minutes.
